What is a patent attorney?

A patent attorney is an attorney first of all that’s licensed in at least one state. Then the patent attorney also has to have some sort of technical degree, and then passed another bar, and they are licensed by the US Patent Office to be a person who can practice the specialty of patent law. It’s kind of a narrow field, but you have to have two licenses, a federal patent license and a state bar.
