My invention is not found in a patent search. Now what do I do?

I would take little baby steps if you’re interested in protecting it by way of a patent, I would suggest the first thing to do would be file a provisional patent application. The fact that you didn’t find it in a patent search doesn’t necessarily mean it is patentable, but you are in a race, and so the provisional gives you a year to continue to research and primarily determine the commercial viability of your idea, because again, no amount of patent protection is going to make a dog hunt that won’t hunt.
